Equine Horse Therapy
At the heart of our equine-assisted therapy program is a unique and powerful approach known as horse mediation. This isn’t about conflict resolution—it’s about healing, self-discovery, and personal growth, all facilitated through the intuitive presence of horses.
WHAT IS HORSE MEDIATION?
Horse mediation involves partnering with horses in a therapeutic setting to support emotional and psychological well-being. Horses are deeply sensitive animals that respond honestly to the energy and behavior of those around them. By interacting with them, clients gain valuable insights into themselves—often in ways that traditional talk therapy cannot reach.
Sessions are guided by a qualified therapist and often include simple ground based activities such as mindful grooming, breathing and grounding exercise, self reflection via observation of the horse, creative tasks, and exercises to promote emotional understanding and regulation.’ No riding experience necessary.

WHY HORSES?
Horses live fully in the moment. They sense our inner states—whether calm, anxious, or guarded—and reflect them back to us with gentle, non-judgmental feedback. This allows clients to:
-
Increase self-awareness and emotional regulation
-
Build confidence, boundaries, and trust
-
Explore new ways of connecting with themselves and others
-
Experience healing in a safe, grounded, and natural environment
Horse mediation is especially beneficial for individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism spectrum conditions, or those simply seeking a deeper connection with themselves.
A DIFFERENT KIND OF THERAPY
This is therapy without pressure. Without judgment. Without the need for words.
Through guided interactions with horses, clients experience real-time emotional learning—opening the door to lasting change and a stronger sense of self.
